My only concern would be that his skating is a little weak. While his skating requires work, and a certain wonder his NHL upsidedown, he remains an appealing selection because of the simple fact that his hard labour creates scoring opportunities. He finishes the season and enter the draft as someone being pegged as a leading 3 choice. I'd set him up there with Edward Pasquale along with Scott Stajcer to your best the OHL offers in the position for your draft and because of thatI'd expect him being a top 60 selection. OK, I understand, somewhat odd seeing Duchene with this record given that he's always been regarded as a top 10 choice for 2009. But, Duchene came to the season as just that; a guy being considered as a top 10 choice. Clark went from playing at the OPJHL last season to become among the best defenseman on the best club in the Eastern Conference this season. Being a Ottawa fan I will comment on a number of those players we see more frequently. We don't find much of Sudbury and the Sault so can't really comment on those players.
He was arguably Canada's greatest defenceman and among the best defenceman in the tournament. Clemson's 28-game league winning series fell one win shy of matching the list of 29 in a row set by Florida State in its first 29 games within an ACC member. The Titans ended up with winning a playoff game (can't recall how that happened) then immediately fired their Head Coach. Perreault utilizes his fast feet professionally to make space for himself then utilizes his high finish vision to move the puck around the offensive zone through highly intelligent passing and vision. While he largely profiles as a personality forward at another level, a few think he has any offensive potential. He moves the puck well, skates well, is creating some intensity and demonstrated that at the level, his dimensions isn't a detriment. He's a strong technically sound goalie who challenges shooters, covers his perspectives moves nicely in his crease, controls rebounds and who is constantly improving. It was the year for Calvin who cracked the Generals roster for the first time, immediately became their best defenseman, made the OHL all star match, and was eventually named to the 2009 Under 18 team for Canada.
